‘SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium’ is a crossover fighting game that features characters from both SNK and Capcom franchises. It was developed and published by SNK during 1999. Altogether, there are 26 playable characters with multiplayer functionality; 13 split between Capcom and SNK. Within singleplayer, each character has their own unique campaign- often meeting with their “rival” of their dedicated game. As victories pile on, the player is able to upgrade their characters to gain different abilities, or to even link up with the SEGA Dreamcast to pass over unlockable content.
