Escave has two stages of levels mainly: the player should first activate the mine cart on the lower floor, and then blast the blocking rock on the higher floor with self-made dynamite. The whole course requires the player to gather materials separated on both floors and to synthesize tools with them.
The levels are set in an underground cave full of stones, rocks, abandoned tools and structures.
The player needs to activate the mine cart to pass the lava. The cart is running out of charge so that the player has to find a battery to start it.
The player needs to blast the rock blocking the exit with a bomb. To make the dynamite, the player should first collect charcoal, nitrate, and sulfur, and then synthesize them at the workbench.
To acquire the knowledge of the escaping method, the player has to carefully read the paper left in the cave. No UI or text hints are given.
