Space Game (alternative name suggestions would be appreciated!)
Multiplayer FPS game set in space on a small solar system containing various tiny planets
The player is able to move fluidly between planets using combinations of various movement abilities (including jumps, boosts, weapon recoil).
The player can fight using multiple weapons, including an SMG, sniper, and grenade launcher
The game was originally written to experiment with networking and simulate gravitational physics, although other concepts were also explored at later stages. These include the simulation of swarm behaviour in boids through the red ‘birdcones’.
How to play:
Enter a username and room name before starting a game
Press HOST to host a server, and JOIN to join the current server with the entered room name
Use the mouse to move the camera
Arrow keys to move
Space to jump
Q to super jump (cooldown)
1,2,3 or scroll wheel to swap between weapons (SMG, Sniper, Grenade Launcher)
Left mouse to fire
L for leaderboard, M for settings (can be swapped between by pressing other key) – closed by pressing the same key
