After entering a match, look at the numbers in the circles behind the enemy on the right. Those three numbers (or two or one) are the answers you need to solve. The boxes below are for constructing your equation. Choose the numbers you need from the left and form a complete equation to answer correctly and make the opponent lose a heart.
For example, if you see the number 9 behind the enemy on the right, change the first box below to + (addition), then select 3 and 6 from the left and place them in the first and second number slots below to form the equation 3 + 6. After that, press = (equals) on the right to answer. If correct, the equation and answer will be recorded in the table on the right. You can also use other numbers to make the answer 9, such as 2 + 7, 4 + 5, etc. If the number is too large, you may need to switch to multiplication and use the third number slot to calculate.
