This is a first person single player horror adventure game. You need to sneak or run in the scene to avoid monsters, search for resources to survive, and find a way to leave.
Gameplay Introduction:

3. You can avoid monsters by running or stealth, but cannot attack them.

5. Props will emit a light once you approach, so don’t worry about not being able to find them.
